Visserslust / VVP Verhuur

Visserslust / VVP Verhuur offers various types of accommodation:

  • Studios (1-4 persons): compact and comfortable
  • Apartments (2-9 persons): spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen
  • Houseboats (2-6 persons): a unique experience, floating on the water. All accommodations are located directly by the water, with a terrace and views over the Vinkeveense Plassen.

The Vinkeveense Plassen and the surrounding area offer many activities:

  • Water sports: swimming, fishing, boating, SUP boarding
  • Nature: walking, cycling through the Groene Hart
  • Cities: Amsterdam (20 km), Utrecht (20 km), Hilversum
  • Attractions: Aalsmeer flower auction, Amsterdam canals, museums
  • Relaxation: terraces, restaurants, nature areas
  • Events: concerts, football matches and other events at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, AFAS Live and Ziggo Dome, approximately 10 to 15 minutes by car from Visserslust.

Yes, the Vinkeveense Plassen offer wonderful swimming opportunities. Swimming island Zandeiland is located 150 metres from Visserslust. From many accommodations, you can enter the water directly for a refreshing swim.

  • Supermarkets: 3 kilometres away
  • Restaurants: several dining options within 500 metres
  • Visserslust itself: ice cream bar and coffee bar on site. The village of Vinkeveen also offers various facilities nearby.

Visserslust is the perfect location for anglers at the Vinkeveense Plassen:

  • Directly located on clear water with a rich fish population
  • Private fishing jetty at several accommodations
  • Fishing boat rental and the possibility to moor your own boat
  • Fishing permits available on site
  • Catch and release policy for sustainable fishing

Arrival & Departure

Check-in is possible from 15:00. Check-out must be completed by 11:00 at the latest.

Yes, early check-in is sometimes possible if the accommodation is ready earlier. This is subject to availability only. Please request this at least 24 hours in advance via info@vvpverhuur.nl.

Yes, late check-out is possible until 13:00 for an additional fee of €20 per accommodation.

No problem, but please let us know in advance by e-mail via info@vvpverhuur.nl. We will then make sure the key is ready for you, so you can check in easily.

Parking & Boat Mooring

Yes, we have a limited number of private parking spaces. Cost: €10 per day. A parking space is only guaranteed if you reserve it in advance via info@vvpverhuur.nl.

Yes, we have mooring spaces directly in front of our property. These are subject to a fee and available only depending on availability. Please reserve your mooring space in time via info@vvpverhuur.nl.

Yes, this is strongly recommended, especially during high season. Without a reservation, we cannot guarantee a space.

Pets

Yes, pets are warmly welcome. Unfortunately, cats are not allowed.

€10 per pet per night.

05.

Included & What to Bring

Yes, bed linen, towels, kitchen towels and washing-up liquid are provided as standard in all our accommodations.

No, this is not necessary. Everything is ready for you, so you can enjoy your stay without worry.

Final cleaning is included in the price. We only ask that you leave the accommodation tidy, take out the rubbish, empty the dishwasher, do the dishes, etc.

We advise you to bring your own coffee, pepper, salt, oil and any other basic products you may need. These products are not provided as standard in the accommodation and are often forgotten.

Extras & Facilities

Yes, a baby cot, including bed linen, can be added to your booking free of charge. Please mention this when making your reservation.

In some accommodations, this is possible for an additional fee. Please ask about the options when booking.

Yes, all accommodations have free high-speed Wi-Fi.

Yes, we have one fully wheelchair-accessible apartment, located on the ground floor, with wide doors and an adapted bathroom.

No, smoking is prohibited in all accommodations. Smoking is only allowed outside.

No, barbecuing is unfortunately not allowed due to fire risk and possible fire damage. However, you can barbecue at several locations on Zandeiland 4 and 5. An electric grill plate is allowed at our property.

Fishing in the Vinkeveense Plassen

No, at Visserslust and on the Vinkeveense Plassen we apply a catch and release policy only.

Yes, all caught fish must be returned to the water immediately and carefully. This helps keep the fish population healthy for everyone.

Yes, you need a VISpas or a day/week permit from Sportvisserij Nederland. You can purchase this online via visplanner.nl. If you already have a VISpas starting with 07, you are also very welcome and do not need to purchase an additional permit.

Booking & Cancellation

Standard rate: free cancellation up to 2 days before arrival
Non-refundable rate: cannot be cancelled and is non-refundable

The non-refundable rate is 10% cheaper, but can no longer be changed or cancelled. The standard rate offers full flexibility.

Yes, we apply a minimum stay of 2 nights throughout the year. For larger accommodations, a minimum stay of 3 nights applies. In case of last-minute availability within the same month, exceptions may sometimes be possible.

During high season, we recommend booking at least 1 month in advance, especially for accommodations with a private mooring space or pet-friendly cottages.

Surroundings & Accessibility

From Utrecht: approx. 20 minutes
From Amsterdam: approx. 15 minutes

Yes, within 5–10 minutes by car:

  • Supermarkets: Albert Heijn and Jumbo in Vinkeveen
  • Restaurants: Veensteker, Viersprong, De Schans, Café Prins and The Harbour Club

Absolutely. Easily rent a boat for a relaxing day on the Vinkeveense Plassen. If you combine boat rental with an overnight stay in our accommodation, you receive a 20% discount. More information can be found on our boat rental page.

The nearest train station is Abcoude Station. From there, you can use the U-OV flex bus, which stops in front of our accommodation.

Please note that this flex bus must be booked at least 1 hour in advance via the U-OV app.

Although public transport is possible, we do recommend travelling by car if you want maximum flexibility during your stay.
